Itinerary

01Day

Flight to Vienna & a First Imperial Encounter

Your travel experience begins with the meeting at “Eleftherios Venizelos” airport at 13:30, where the Travelbee.eu tour leader/escort will be waiting for you. Luggage check-in then gets under way, with every traveller enjoying the convenience of 8kg hand luggage and a 20kg checked suitcase. At 15:35 you depart on the direct SKY Express flight, arriving in Vienna at 16:55. After collecting your luggage, the local driver welcomes you aboard the private minivan for a comfortable transfer to the 4* NH DANUBE CITY hotel. Once settled into your rooms, take advantage of the direct metro access: in less than ten minutes you will be in the heart of illuminated Vienna, on impressive Stephansplatz. For your first evening, we suggest a relaxed dinner to get acquainted with the local flavours at a traditional Austrian beer hall in the centre with an authentic atmosphere. Overnight stay.

02Day

City Tour & the Spectacular “Light of Creation”

After a generous breakfast at the hotel, you set off on your walking tour of the historic centre with an official guide, discovering the famous Ringstraße boulevard, the Habsburgs’ winter palace, the Hofburg, the State Opera, the Parliament and the aristocratic lanes of the Old Town. Afterwards there is free time to enjoy, optionally, a traditional Viennese melange coffee and an authentic Sachertorte at historic haunts such as Café Central. In the afternoon you will enjoy Travelbee.eu’s gift with your entry to the immersive art-and-light spectacle “Light of Creation”. The evening is free for a stroll along the pedestrian streets of Graben and Kärntner Straße, while optionally you can attend a classical concert of works by Mozart and Strauss in one of the city’s historic palaces. Overnight stay.

03Day

Free day

Start your day with breakfast at the hotel, after which we suggest setting aside time for a recommended visit to the majestic Schönbrunn summer palace, where you can tour the imperial apartments of Maria Theresa and Sisi and stroll through the autumnal gardens. Around midday, we suggest a stop at the Belvedere Palace to admire Gustav Klimt’s famous “The Kiss” up close, while the afternoon is ideal for shopping on Vienna’s busiest shopping street, Mariahilfer Straße. To round off the day, we suggest booking a table at the historic Figlmüller restaurant to taste the city’s most famous traditional Wiener schnitzel. Overnight stay.

04Day

Free day & Return to Athens

After breakfast and check-out by 12:00 at the latest, you leave your luggage safely at the hotel so you can make the most of the whole day until your flight. We suggest a morning stroll to the colourful Hundertwasserhaus architectural complex or to the historic Prater park for photos at the famous Ferris wheel, followed by a visit to the open-air Naschmarkt for street food, local delicacies and souvenir shopping. In the afternoon you return to the hotel and at 17:50 board the private minivan bound for Vienna airport. After ticket checks and luggage drop-off, the SKY express flight departs at 20:55, arriving in Athens shortly after midnight, full of wonderful memories and delightful travel experiences.
