Itinerary

01Day

ATHENS - BRATISLAVA - VIENNA

Meeting at the airport and flight to the capital of Slovakia, Bratislava. Departure for Vienna. On arrival, our panoramic tour of the historic centre begins: we will see the Belvedere Palace and drive along the famous Ring boulevard to see Vienna's most important sights, such as the City Park, the Opera House, the MuseumsQuartier, the Franz Joseph Gate, the Parliament, the City Hall, the old Court Theatre, the University and the Votive Church (Votivkirche). We will then end up at St. Stephen's Cathedral and walk through the historic quarter of the Greek community. Transfer to the hotel and check-in. Free time. Overnight stay.

02Day

VIENNA - SALZBURG

Breakfast at the hotel and departure for a day trip to imperial Salzburg. After a wonderful drive, part of which passes through the spectacular Salzkammergut Lakes region, we will arrive at Mozart's birthplace. Here we will pass by the gardens of Mirabell Palace and the river Salzach. Wandering through the city's atmospheric lanes, we will see Mozart's house, the City Hall, the city's Cathedral and St. Peter's Abbey. Free time at your disposal for coffee and a stroll through the picturesque lanes of the historic centre, with their medieval arches and ornate façades. Return to the hotel. Overnight stay.

03Day

VIENNA - MAYERLING WOODS

Breakfast at the hotel and departure for the outskirts of Vienna to visit the famous Vienna Woods. There, at Mayerling, we will see the former hunting lodge of the Habsburgs, known for the tragic story of the suicide of Crown Prince Rudolf, the last heir to the throne, and Mary Vetsera. At midday, return to Vienna, followed by free time. Overnight stay.

04Day

VIENNA - free day

Breakfast at the hotel. Put on your hat and coat and enjoy one of the most beautiful markets in Europe. Walk through the heart of the historic centre to find the old Viennese-style Christmas market in the Freyung area. It is one of the oldest and most traditional markets in the city. Dozens of delicacies and even more handmade crafts are just some of the choices you will find there, while the stalls with traditional ceramics are also of interest. In the late afternoon this market also has music, while just a short distance away is the Am Hof Advent Market, which you also have no reason not to visit. Overnight stay.

05Day

VIENNA - BRATISLAVA – ATHENS

Breakfast at the hotel. Departure for Bratislava, whose old town, Staré Mesto, takes visitors several centuries back in time as they walk its cobbled streets, admire its Baroque architecture and relax in cafés and restaurants. A short distance from the old town, we will also see important sights such as the 15th-century Hrad (Bratislava Castle), which houses the Museums of History and Music, the National Theatre and the Slovak Philharmonic Orchestra, as well as the National Gallery, housed in an 18th-century palace. Free time until our transfer to Bratislava airport for the return flight to Athens.
