We meet at the airport and fly to Germany and the Bavarian capital, Munich. On arrival, we board the coach and depart for beautiful Salzburg. Arrival and check-in at our hotel. Overnight stay.
Breakfast at the hotel. A panoramic tour of Austria’s most beautiful “little” city. We will see Mirabell Palace with its wonderful gardens, the magnificent Cathedral, the small opera house, Mozart’s house-museum and of course Getreidegasse, with its well-preserved mansions, and the Glockenspiel tower with its 35 bells. Free time in the fairy-tale city. Overnight stay.
Breakfast at the hotel. Departure for the Lake District, whose lakes were formed by the melting ice of the Alps. We will admire a unique setting, with beautiful lakes surrounded by the towering mountains of the Alps and lovely traditional villages creating a landscape that makes you wonder whether it is real or the brushstroke of a masterful painter. We will then visit the small town of St. Wolfgang, birthplace of Mozart’s mother, and beautiful Hallstatt, built on the shores of the lake of the same name and one of the most beautiful villages in Austria. Hallstatt, together with the sights of the Dachstein, forms the Hallstatt-Dachstein Salzkammergut Cultural Landscape, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Hallstatt is a very popular tourist destination thanks to its uniqueness and is also known as “the pearl of Austria”; with its stunning scenery it is surely one of the most beautiful landscapes in the whole world! The village is built on the shores of the picturesque lake and is surrounded by the imposing, awe-inspiring mountains of the Alps… Traditional wooden houses, narrow lanes and welcoming people make up a village where, without exaggeration, every corner is a picture postcard. On the village’s main square you will find plenty of cafés and restaurants where you can enjoy a hot chocolate and local treats or drink a glass of red wine. We then return to our hotel. Overnight stay.
Breakfast at the hotel. Departure for cosmopolitan Innsbruck, built on the banks of the River Inn. On our tour we will see its historic centre. The Triumphal Arch, St Anne’s Column, the Town Hall, the Golden Roof – emblem of the city – and the Hofburg Palace will capture our attention. A stroll along the cobbled streets of the old town feels like a short journey back to the age of the Habsburgs. Free time in the beautiful city. In the afternoon, departure for Munich. Arrival and check-in at our hotel. Overnight stay.
Breakfast at the hotel and free time. Then transfer to Munich airport to board our return flight to Athens.
