Itinerary

01Day

Flight to Warsaw, Arrival in the City Centre & Traditional Welcome Dinner

Your Christmas getaway begins at “Eleftherios Venizelos” airport as you check in your luggage, with 1 piece of hand luggage of 8kg and 1 checked suitcase of 20kg per person—ideal for your festive shopping. At 12:40 you depart on the direct SKY Express flight and land at Warsaw Chopin Airport (WAW) at 14:15 local time. There your private minivan awaits for a quick and comfortable transfer to the modern 4* Mercure Warszawa Centrum, located in the heart of the city, next to the iconic Palace of Culture and Science. Once you have settled into your rooms, the evening is devoted to your first encounter with the fairy-tale Old Town (Stare Miasto). As you stroll beneath the sparkling festive lights, you will enjoy Travelbee.eu’s special gift: a warm, hearty dinner at a selected traditional restaurant in the Old Town, where you will taste renowned Polish dishes such as the famous pierogi and hot żurek soup, immediately getting into the spirit of local hospitality. Overnight stay.

02Day

Guided Tour of the Old Town (UNESCO Site) & Christmas Markets

After enjoying a generous breakfast at your hotel, you set off on an organised walking tour of the city with an official Greek-speaking guide. You will stroll along the famous Royal Route (Krakowskie Przedmieście) and reach Castle Square with the iconic Sigismund’s Column. You will admire the impressive Royal Castle, the central Market Square with the statue of the Mermaid—the symbol of Warsaw—and the imposing walls of the Barbican, an area that has been completely rebuilt and is protected by UNESCO. In the afternoon you have free time to soak up the festive atmosphere. We suggest exploring the wooden huts of the Christmas market, sampling hot spiced wine (grzaniec) and grilled smoked cheese (oscypek). In the evening, we suggest going up (optionally) to the viewing terrace of the Palace of Culture and Science, right next to your hotel, to enjoy the illuminated city from above. Overnight stay.

03Day

Modern History & the “Royal Garden of Light” at Wilanów

Today, after breakfast, is an opportunity to discover (optionally) the city’s profound and moving history. We suggest a visit to the ultra-modern Museum of the History of Polish Jews (POLIN), an architectural masterpiece, or to the moving Warsaw Rising Museum. In the early afternoon, as the light begins to fade, we wholeheartedly recommend a visit to Wilanów summer palace (the “Versailles of Poland”). Every winter, the palace gardens are transformed into the dazzling “Royal Garden of Light” – a vast illuminated installation with thousands of lights creating palaces, carriages and labyrinths of light, accompanied by classical music. Returning to the centre in the evening, you can dine at one of the elegant restaurants on Nowy Świat street. Overnight stay.

04Day

Chopin’s Melodies, Łazienki Park & Festive Shopping

After breakfast, we suggest a relaxing stroll in beautiful Łazienki Park, Warsaw’s largest park, dominated by the Palace on the Water and the imposing Frédéric Chopin Monument. Classical music lovers can (optionally) visit the interactive Chopin Museum. Midday and the afternoon are ideal for your Christmas shopping, as the ultra-modern Złote Tarasy shopping centre, with its distinctive undulating glass roof, is literally a stone’s throw from your hotel. For your last evening in Warsaw, we suggest experiencing the city’s modern pulse by enjoying dinner or a drink at Hala Koszyki, a historic market hall that has been turned into the capital’s trendiest food destination, bringing together excellent restaurants and bars. Overnight stay.

05Day

Wedel Hot Chocolate, Departure & Return Flight

You have breakfast at the hotel, check out and leave your luggage in the storage room. Spend your last morning (optionally) on a stroll for some final souvenir shopping, and don’t miss a visit to one of the historic E. Wedel cafés to taste the most famous, thick Polish hot chocolate accompanied by local sweets. At around 13:00, you board your private minivan for the return to Chopin Airport. The SKY Express flight departs at 15:15 and you arrive in Athens at 18:45, taking home the most wonderful memories of festive Warsaw.
